It is always so much fun seeing old friends getting married and growing their families. It was great catching up with Lysa a few months ago when she asked me to do their family pictures. (Click here to check them out.) We lucked out with a little less wind for these photos! I was so excited when she asked me again to take her maternity pictures. Lysa was rocking this pregnancy thing and I know she is going to be an awesome mom to her new baby girl.
Casey and Alex got married at the beautiful Millcreek Inn in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is such a gorgeous cottage-like venue with an large open patio that is nestled up one of Utah’s most beautiful canyons. Surprisingly, this was only my second time being there, the first of which was when we did Casey’s bridals the month before. I’m really looking forward to shooting there again! I only spent one day with Casey and Alex together, but it was clear from watching their interactions with one another, they are perfect together. Their wedding day was full of family and friends who were all there to wish them the best. There was also a ton of love and laughter. I loved being apart of their special day!
Tavann and Jessica have become our really good friends since moving to Idaho last year! We were so excited when they asked us to take their family pictures. Their two little boys are the cutest! The older of the two boys was not in the mood to take pictures that night. We were still able to get some real cute ones of him, especially the ones of him cuddling with his dad. The whole Beck family is so photogenic!
Lysa is a great friend from high school. We did ballroom dance together and I have a ton of awesome memories with her and our team. I was excited when she asked me to take her family pictures so we could catch up and I could meet her family. If you aren’t familiar with our little town, Idaho Falls often has a lot of wind. A lot. This can present quite the challenge for photography sessions. The Swain family took on the wind like pros however, and we laughed the whole time while almost getting blown away.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful moms. We wouldn’t be here without you. To my own mom, thank you for everything you have done for me. From giving me life, to being my nurse, my cheerleader, my supporter, my school project partner; you have done it all. You have, and always will be, there for me and I am happy to call you my mom. To my mother-in-law, thank you for being a great mom and friend to my wife. You raised an amazing daughter. Which brings me to Brandi. Thank you for being the most incredible mother I could ever imagine for my own child. Jaedyn loves you more than anything in the WHOLE WORLD and I have no doubt you will always be her best friend. You never hesitate to jump out of bed at the first sound of a whimper or dive to catch her before she falls. You sing and cheer when you first get her up in the morning and when you lay her to bed at night. Jaedyn is such a happy and energetic little girl and I have no doubt that this is because of the love and excitement you show to her everyday. It is clear to see the joy you bring to her. Jaedyn is so lucky to have you. I am lucky to have you.
