Tanner is the little brother of one of my best friends growing up. We grew up on the same street as their family. He was also best friends with my little brother also so we have been very close to their family for most of my life. I was so excited when Tanner contacted me about taking his engagement photos. They were in town for the 4th of July so we took advantage of them being in town and did these the next morning after the 4th. Idaho Falls has a fantastic firework show. It has been called the best firework show west of the Mississippi. Check out this link of little ole Idaho Falls being named a top firework show here. It’s so fun to spend the 4th of July here!! They changed the location 2 years ago from around the Snake River to Taylor’s Crossing and although a lot of people weren’t happy about the change, I thought it was great and made it so they could do even more fireworks! And you can’t complain about that! This year my sister-in-law watched our little boy since she doesn’t care about fireworks, and we were able to take our 3-year-old to the firework show. She absolutely loved it! And is there anything more magical than seeing something through a kid’s eyes?

I was excited that I was able to meet Allie when we did these engagements. The Smith family are some of the nicest people I have ever meet, and Allie was one and the same. She was sweet and kind, and I know she will be the perfect addition to their family. You can see her joyful demeanor in all the pictures below. She was a great sport when I made her a makeshift bouquet of wild grass you’ll see below. We had a blast, and I’m sure their wedding day will be full of fun and laughter also.
