Another photo shoot in the books for the Smith family and we are loving being their families, go-to photographer. This is their last child to get married, but hopefully, we will get to keep the tradition alive with more family sessions in the future as their family grows. In the last few years, we have been able to keep in touch with them by photographing 3 weddings and many family photos for them. Casey grew up living on the same street as Maddie and her family and he was best friends with her older brother.  This family is the sweetest, most kind family, and Maddie is no exception. Tyson is one lucky man.

Update on our little Jaedyn! If you missed the original story click here to read about it. We had an appointment at Primary Children’s this past Friday. In simpler terms basically, her blood was very thin and taking much longer to clot than it should.  Like 3.5 times thinner then it should be. They drew blood when we got there, and her INR levels were normal!! It has taken 3 weeks to be back to normal but we are so happy to hear that they evened out. Her PTT level is still a little high but they think that will come down in time and are not as worried about that one. They are still unsure what happened exactly, and think it might have just been a fluke. They think there was some inhibitor that made her blood stop clotting but whatever it was is now working or out of her system. They hope it won’t happen again but since we really don’t have answers on what happened the first time we are just supposed to watch for signs in case it ever happens again. Since she we got home from the hospital a few weeks ago, Jaedyn has had some hive like bumps on her body, especially her face. They are only there for about 30 minutes and then go away. They said those should not be blood-related, and now want us to go see an allergist. It’s odd she has never shown signs of being allergic to anything until recently but we are just glad everything else is seeming better and hope to get answers about allergies. We are so blessed that this turned out to not to be a life long issue, and that we realized something was wrong when we did and we got the helped she needed. It’s broke my heart when they were saying she was safe “now” in the hospital because it made me so sad to think that she was unsafe as I was taking her swimming, driving around town and taking her to preschool. We are so blessed to have such wonderful doctors and nurses researching her blood levels and making sure she was safe. We are blessed that there is plasma that they could give her so that she could get the blood clotting factors that she needed. Primary Children’s was a fantastic facility, with a kid-friendly menu Jaedyn loved and a library and play area that she was obsessed with. She loved her time in the hospital because she felt good, got one on one time with her parents and got to eat anything she wanted while playing in the play area. I loved spending extra time with her while we were in there. It really makes me realize how blessed I am to be a stay at home mom and get to already spend so much time with my children and watch them grow and be the one that is there every step of the way.
