Ok you know the girls that have it all? That is Cosette! This was my first time getting to meet and shoot her and it did not disappoint. She models (clearly) and is an incredible singer. Check out this video of a US figure skater skating to her cover of Chasing Cars. So cool! You can also find her singing with Cinematic Pop or on her own here. Now that we have talked about the wonderfully talented model, lets talk about this location. It’s amazing right!? I love photographing on the side of a mountain, or any epic location really, but sometimes there just isn’t enough time for to make that happen. I don’t mind one bit however, when we find locations like this is town. This is behind a car wash!! Hence the title of Carwash Florals. Talk about a hidden gem right?! We literally were making magic in this little field while watching/listening to cars being washed on the other side of us. I took some time to play around with double exposures towards then end of the session and I ended up getting some shots that I’m pretty proud of.
All film images were shot on a Pentax 645n medium format film camera with Fuji Pro 400H film and developed at The FIND Lab.
Because we need to get a Wingers trip in while we were out of town, we turned our shoot into a family event. I have to throw in this one behind-the-scenes shot, because while these film images are beautiful and perfect and great, this is my favorite image from the day. It is so special thing to see your child mimic you, and want to be like you. She has recently been telling her mom and I that her favorite nickname is “Jaedyn the Photographer,” and let me tell you, she has a lot of nicknames.
