We have been waiting to blog these gorgeous in-home film photos from a workshop Casey did in April with the very talented Brooke Schultz until Casey would have time to write about his experience at the workshop. But let’s be honest Casey is a busy man balancing 2 jobs, starting another company and being a very hands-on father and an amazing husband. So I am going to take the liberty to blog these and tell you what I know about his experience and so you can all finally see these gorgeous pictures!
Casey loves film and loves the passion it gives him for his business. He loves the beauty that film provides, and it pushes him to make each shot count and really make each picture meaningful. He attended Photo Native earlier this year and had an amazing time and was so inspired but being able to learn from Brooke Schultz who is a film photographer and someone he looks up to, was very exciting for him. Casey is always so good at pushing himself to be better in all aspects of his life, and decided that for this workshop he would leave his digital at all home and just focus on film. Often times lighting isn’t perfect and it’s easier to fall back and pick up the digital camera but only having his film with him really helped him grow as a photographer. All the shoots he did that weekend are beautiful and I am so proud of him for pushing himself creatively and capturing these beautiful moments for these families. Check out our other blog posts to see the other families he captured in their homes on film that weekend!
