We were so excited when Katelyn asked us to come to Utah to do an in-home session for her. We met Katelyn when we were going to school at Utah State. Casey and I lived in our apartment in Logan for 3 and a half years. The first 2 years we had the most fantastic neighbors. Justin and Laura befriended us the moment we moved in, invited us over for games night, watched The Bachelor with us and so much more. They had the most adorable baby girl right before they moved, and Casey and I were obsessed with her. When they decided to move to Arizona we were devasted. We were going to miss them so much. We kept saying we would hate our new neighbors and they could never be as cool as Justin and Laura. Since we convinced ourselves that we wouldn’t like the new people moving in, when we heard a commotion outside our door, we were just sad that Justin and Laura really weren’t coming back. We looked out the peak hole and saw Katelyn and Chris! Katelyn was in many of the same undergraduate classes with Casey previously and then they were both accepted into the same Master’s program. We had also taken their engagement pictures. So we threw open the door and greeted them. Although we were set on not liking the new neighbors, we were so blessed and lucky that they were our new neighbors. They are both so fun! It was awesome and so convenient for Casey to have a study partner right next door. They were also partners for a work-study and it worked out perfectly that we lived so close so they could ride together. Their Master’s program was intense and tons of work, so I often joked with Katelyn that she spent more time with my husband then I got to. Luckily they survived the Master’s program, all their hard work paid off and they are now both working as a Speech and Language Pathologist!
