Weather is always a tricky part of photography in Idaho. One day the sun is shining, the next day it may snow! The weekend we scheduled the Larsens family pictures it ended up being really cold. We rescheduled so that it would be warmer so the kids wouldn’t freeze. The new day we choose ended up being super windy (oh Idaho Falls, windy is your trademark.) But luckily the trees blocked most the windy and the shoot actually turned out amazing. Look at those kids!? They all looked at the camera the whole time and we were constanly laughing. I love when I hit the jackpot with amazing families to photograph!

The kids booked me to surprise their mom for her birthday. Such a good idea! You would think since I am a photographer that my mom has new pictures with her sons all the time but that isn’t the case. Of course I am willing to take them, but the problem is finding a time when everyone can get together and is willing to take photos and coordinate outfits. That is a battle in and of itself. So the kids surprising their mom with pictures is great because all the coordinating is done. She just showed up and got pictures of her family. Easy! And what mom doesn’t want pictures of her kids?! Hint hint..every mom, so I (or the Larsen kids) just gave a a great mothers day or birthday gift for your mom.
