I was honored and so excited when Katy reached out to me on Instagram and asked me to capture there intimate elopement in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She let me know there would only be her and her fiancé and 5-6 other guests. There is something so special about an intimate cermony seculded in the mountains. On my drive up to Jackson, I stopped in Palisades, Idaho and it was so goregous. It turned out to be the longer route to Jackson Hole but completly worth it. I need to go there again because it was truly breathtaking and only about an hour or so from my house. Jackson Hole on the other hand, I was epecting it to be beautiful and it also lived up to my exptecations. Wow! I am lucky to live near such gorgeous scenery. They chose to have the ceremony at Schwabachers Landing in Teton Park which is set in a beautiful clearing next to the river with a great view of the Tetons in the background. It was so cool knowing that this couple traveled across the country to elope in Jackson Hole!
It turned out to be a little cloudy that day, but there were still moments you could see the backdrop of the Tetons perfectly. The clouds parted almost instantly as said their “I Do’s” and we got some sunshine. It was pretty cool. They couldn’t have choose a more beautiful location.
On a side note, Katy has an awesome business/shop that you can find on Instagram. She has some really cool and unique turquoise jewelry. Go check it out at Backwoods.barbie.couture.
