Instagram post 17931494653917760 Stuck and Stuck Again: A short monologue about winter.

You know those mornings, when there is a lot of snow on the road but you need to be somewhere and have to use a car to get there?

So then you drive down the street but get stuck at the end of the neighborhood because you have to wait for oncoming traffic?

And then you give a little “no it’s okay, go ahead” to the school bus full of anxious children so they don’t just sit behind you and laugh.

And then like, a cool high school kids in a beefy trucks jumps out of his car and helps push you out while you sit in the warm car and wiggle the wheel?
(I mean it sounds like the easier job but just as important, if not more. I mean a car isn’t going to move if someone is pushing the gas, am I right? 😆)

Aaaaand then you shout and wave “thank you” awkwardly a few times to make sure he feels the gratitude as you pull up again to the end of the neighbor and wait for the oncoming traffic…. I think you can see where this is going.

Stuck and Stuck Again.

And then the same high school boy, plus anther nice dude, run to your car and help for round two of pushing the car out.

But this time, they wait for open traffic and you really commit to your wheel wiggling and gas peddling and go for it.

And you are now unstuck.

You know those mornings? Me too.
Instagram post 18149560063212265 Stop being a jerk/bully/poop face to yourself while you shine as Positive Peter to everyone else. That’s great to make others feel special but it’s also great to save some for yourself. You are worthy of all the praise, the acceptance, and the encouragement too. #selflove #youareworthy #motivationmonday
Instagram post 17921301464115209 Happy first Monday of the New Year from my family to yours. I’m excited to see what adventures and accomplishments are in store for us this year. What does this year hold for you!?
Instagram post 17904054248370940 Ok who else has started brainstorming their NYRs list? Aaaalso, anyone want to try and disagree with me, that the use of the word “chagrin” just brings so much spunk to the table in causal convos, despite it referring to a generally emotion?

Is the word “chagrin” in your lexicon?
Did you think, “I’ve never even heard that word,” and then after you looked it up you were probably like, “Oh. Okay I guess I’ve heard that. Why is it spelled with a “ch” and not an “sh?” English is dumb.”

If you need a good example, you may have noticed I used the word in my last post.

If you have other suggestions for words a #bigfunnyguy should use, please share them.
Instagram post 18270292369000966 Quick story about perfectionism. 💯

(SIDE NOTE: This story did not take place in Paris, or have anything to do with Paris, but I went there and it was cool.)

Once upon a time, I decided to take the big leap (not the Fox TV show which you should watch) and break up my beautiful feed with posting an original tweet I felt was funny and true enough to do so with. I want to share more of my comedic side. So I went through the (probably too many) steps to screen shot, crop, find a background photo, edit the photo, and create addition humorous words in the caption before it was ready.

Then I posted it.

To my chagrin, it was not perfectly centered. The text box errs slightly to the right. Just slightly, but boy oh boy did this get under my skin. I’m not sure if other people would really even notice, because it is close, but not perfect.

But I left it. Partly as an intentional “screw you” to perfectionism, and partly because my wife told me “No really it’s fine. Leave it. Really!”

Now I’m telling a story about it so at least you know I know and it helps me feel back in control. I’ve still got things to work on. #mentalhealth #fuckperfection #happinesscoach #selfcare
