Winter Formals, they are bittersweet. Bitter because it’s so cold especially to be in a wedding dress out in the snow, but sweet because the end result is completely worth it. All the white snow is a gorgeous backdrop for pictures. This couple is such troopers. Both their engagement photos and these bridals were taken in really deep snow. I guess it is what you may expect if you are getting married in February in Idaho or Utah though haha. Maddie is such a natural behind the camera and made it look like she wasn’t cold at all! Casey always tries to do an Instagram story at each session, and I gotta say the one from this session was my favorite he has ever done. Maddie’s sister and brother in law were at this photo shoot with them to help out, and in the Instagram story Casey was just recording the gorgeous scenery and them walking to their location but the snow was so deep that her brother in law fell through the snow and then continued to fall and couldn’t get it. I watched that Instagram story too many times to count haha. For some reason, I find it so funny seeing people fall or trip. It’s one of the things that makes me laugh the hardest in life! So to say the least, I got quite the kick out of seeing them try to trudge through the snow and only wished I could have seen it in person. I included a couple behind the scenes photos at the end so you can see how deep it is! I think these pictures are worth all the work of getting through that snow though!
