What a summer it has been! I haven’t blogged since mid-June, and let me tell you why. The last month and a half have been some of the busiest times in my life. We have our wonderful friends Jess and Tavann and their two kiddos living with us until the house that they were building was finished. Also, my best friend Camille was in town for a month visiting from Texas. On a given day, we typically had 3-5 adults and 6 kids in our house. To add to the craziness, my step sister Krista text me early one morning asking me to call her as soon as I could. I called her when I saw the text and heard that her mother in law had just been admitted to the hospital that morning and her mother in law was supposed to be watching their 10-month-old son Husdon while they were in Hawaii. By the time I called Krista, they were supposed to be leaving to go to the airport for Hawaii in 30 minutes. I can’t even imagine leaving your child for the first time and then right before the trip begins the plans change for your childcare. I, of course, told her I would take him for the week. I love Hudson so much, and it was so fun to be able to have him here from Utah and spend quality time with him for a week. But man having 3 kids and a house full of people makes for some fantastic but busy times. I loved spending so much time with the people I love, so although it was chaotic at times, the good outweighed the chaos. All these things happening at once was a lot, and I wish they could have been spread it out so I would have been able to give each person/family my full attention that I wanted to give everyone, but it all worked out, and it was tons of fun!
Like I said I loved having everyone around, but it definitely made it hard to get work done. I keep up on my daily tasks of cleaning my house, cooking, keeping the kids alive, responding to inquiries, etc. but blogging just fell off my list while I had so much going on. But I’m back and get ready to see lots of new sessions because, on top of house guests and activities galore, Casey has also been photographing lots!
Also, shout out to these two love birds. We are super excited for their wedding in September. They are having their reception where Casey and I had our reception, so I am looking forward to going back there!
