I met Andrew and Savannah when I took his family pictures a few months back. I was so glad they asked me to photograph their wedding and reception. I love shooting at new venues, and any excuse to get a hotel with my family and get away for the weekend is a great weekend for me! I am so jealous of all the great venues that Utah has though. Idaho Falls needs better wedding venues so bad. It is our dream to open an amazing one here! All the natural light in this particular venue made me happy. The more natural light, the better!
I loved being able to photograph at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City this summer. This was my first time there and I loved having the city as the backdrop for the ceremony and group shots. Andrew, the groom, is a comedian so you know the wedding was full of energy and fun! You can laugh through one of his hilarious videos about getting a couples massages here. They had a taco truck, cornhole, and a family band in which the bride, her brother, and her mother all sang a few songs during the reception. It was awesome seeing them all perform together. Also, I was obsessed with this cool yellow wall in Salt Lake City and it made for some fun and unique photos. It was super close to their venue and I was excited to take pictures in front of it. I am planning to take my family there next time we are in Salt Lake. I love a wedding that flies by because we are having so much fun and that is how I felt about this wedding. I was sad when it was over.
