Are you sick of seeing pictures of poppies yet? No way! Poppies are in bloom which means we had to do a shoot with a poppy bouquet while we could. They are such a beautiful flower. Plus I got to try out a new location that night which I fell in love with. Not gonna lie, I have used it a bunch of times since this shoot. It provides a great variety with the cool rocks, green trees, and the water. I love that I can get so much variety all in one area and an added bonus is that it’s not too far from my house.

 Megin was our model and always does such a great job. She is a fashion blogger and also has a photography business with her husband so clearly, she knows her stuff and makes it so easy for me to do my job. I even got to take some re-do bridal images of her and her husband this past year, check those out here! It was a dream team to work with, and the weather was great. It was a wonderful night to get out and capture some beautiful photos while the poppies were in bloom!

Before the shoot, I had the idea that it would be fun to open it up to invite other local photographers to join me. I posted on my Instagram story and Jaycee Peterson responded and was able to come. I’m all about community over competition, and it was so fun having another photographer there to bounce ideas off of. She is such a talented photographer and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Check out her work here!
